View Full Version : Favourite Alien?

here's another silly random question: who's your fave alien and why?
my new fave alien is Archie the Octospider from the Rama books by Arthur C. Clarke and Gentry Lee. The octospiders look like hugh spider/octopus creatures, are very intelligent and they speak in stripes of colour that run around their head. I like Archie because he's smart and looks very cute the way I imagine him :)
There aren't any good pics of them on the net :(
My long time fave alien is Mr. Spock.

Hmmm... Yoda comes to mind, but in the name of individuality I'm going to pick Shaak'Ti from Star Wars Episode I and II (I'm a SW geek) for now. It really steamed my broccoli when I found out that she died in the Clone Wars between II and III. She's the one in the battle of Geonosis with the four head tentacles striped orange and white, wearing the long brown robes. I love how she kicks droid butt left and right and then when the shuttle lands, she accepts another jedi's hand to help her up and lifts up the hem of her robes all lady-like.
I'm putting my money on four posts or less before somebody says E.T.! :p

Well...there are many interesting types of aliens out there in movies, books, ect.
Spock comes to mind, and for sheer scariness and gross out factor the "Alien" from the movie series Alien . I think they made four of those movies. Let us not forget Marvin the Martian:

I am my own favourite, thank you very much. :D
I'll shout E.T. I really, really, despise this critter, 'E.T. Phone Home', If I was in that movie, E.T. would have been put in a yar and experimented upon.

I can't believe I didn't think of that option, can I change my answer? ;)

Sol, I never noticed that female Jedi.. --> time to watch the Star Wars films again? (I'm not a real fan, but they are cool)

I can't believe Alf hasn't been bentioned yet. My favourite.
SleepyWitch
11-23-2006, 01:54 PM
haha :) yeah.. Alf is fun.. I could do with an alien like him: my neighbours tom cat wakes me up around 6 every morning because he wants me to open the door.
he cries like a baby and will go on for an hour if I don't get up and open the door to the neighbour's stairs

The one, the only...the indomitable, the nightmarishly lethal...the LEGENDARY YAUTJA.

The Martians from Mars Attacks! Cereally. They have their cool ray guns that turn people into red and green skeletons, and they go around screaming "ACK ACK!".
My favorite Martian, though, is the Martian Ship Commander with his awesome blue cloak that I want.

hehe, yeah Lily, the Mars Attack aliens' language rock. I sometimes go around screaming "Ack Ack" like them for fun :)
the LEGENDARY YAUTJA.

'Tis the pretentious geek name for a well-known movie monster. Search for it - if I just told you, I'd lose a valuable opportunity to publicize the species.

Well, to me, YOU are an alien too. :goof: IDENTITY and all. All I know is that your user name's RobinHood3000 and that you are of the male species -- ooop, now that I think about it, maybe even not. Raaaar! :D

Nah, I know a male when I see (?) him and I could feeeeel, man. And the way you write, very man-nish.   Aaaaand, you overuse that emoticon right there. I believe this is my first time to ever use it, though. No gal could wear shades in such a manly way.
Although I must say that YOU are still a European. I AM convinced. And don't ask how.

now stop flirting you two. What will your poor sick wife (Lizzy) say when she catches you, Robin ? :p heeeeheeeheee :)

I said don't ask how. To preserve MY mystery of having knowledge about you.... Toni and I put threads together and sown them to get what we have. I must say though, that you are an interesting enough member of your specie (you have others of your own, don't you? :D) to make us think about who you are. I think others are too. :) :)

And Sleepy, as dearly as I love Julie, she's not my wife. It's...complicated.

hehe, just teasing you Robin :)
about aliens, another of my faves are Odo and Quark from DS) (although I have difficulty calling them "aliens" because they are humanoids.., somehow "alien" makes me think of monsters)
"ACK ACKACK" :)

I don't have an iota how flirting goes about, Sleepy. Seriously.
And although Rob ueber loves Julie (and I think that they'll get married someday ), I'll be damned to know if he's a husband of someone NOW, right this very mo'.

Sleepy--it's definitely okay if you've never noticed Shaak'Ti... or pretty much any of the others. Only total and complete geeks notice or differentiate between any of the jedi in the Geonosian arena scene. I have given myself over to the sucking Charybdis of geekdom, and so I can safely do so. Save yourself. It's not worth it. :(
...although Shaak'Ti does kick an extraordinary quantity of arse. :D
Kathy--thanks much. ^_^ "Steamed my broccoli" is one of my favorite double-take inducing idioms, along with "in two shakes of a lamb's tail." O_O

they are kinda humonoid, but some taller, some smaller, its an awesome trilogy, but imo the first two books are best.
