For my english class we have to read an American Novel written before the 1940's. My group and I decided to read Wieland by William Brockden Brown. The book in the beginning was rather slow, but I got extremely interested in it later on. For the essay portion of our project, we have to discuss the themes and styles of the book. Its really difficult coming up with themes besides "religious mania", especially when Brown is commonly read. So if anyone could help me out that would be great! :)
