I know, I know, sooo many versions of P/P have been made already, but my mom ordered this new version i had never heard of off od Amazon that was supposed to be a new, modern-day version. Me and my sister watched it yesterday and i was simply astonished! It was really, really, really good! It's funny, romantic, sweet, and it stays very close to the original Austen story. Mr. Darcy is cute, british and a jerk all at the same time, Elizabeth is an average girl striving to sell a book to his publishing company. Her "sisters" are actually her room mates:they all just live together instead. Jane is from a Latin American country and is extremely beautiful, Kitty and Lydia are the sisters and they act the exact same, Mary is a riot: wait till you hear her sing "My Bonnie Flies Over the Ocean"! Mr. Collins(a minister at their church) was the character who made me laugh the hardest, especially when he's rejected by Elizabeth: it's hilarious. Mr. Bingley is such a sweetheart, you just have to love him, even if he is a little goofy/nerdy/jolly, and Wickham.....well, he's Wickham. The movie is overall just really good and i recommend it to any Austen or P/P fan, here's the movie website and if you can't find it where you live the Amazon site as well!
