I'm a huge Dave Matthews fan! I got to see them live a couple years ago and it was amazing. They take such obvious joy in what they do, it's contagious. Favorite songs? I have many but a short list would be, The Dreaming Tree, Don't Drink the Water, Bartender, Crash Into Me...and others I reserve the right to mention later. ;)

I think Crash Into Me has to be one of the most sensual songs ever written and it's not just the lyrics, although those do help ;), but it's that bass line and the trap drum and the way it builds...oh! It's just a great song all the way around. What did you think of their last album?

I saw Dave Mathews preform solo at the Calgary Folk Festival last year, and it was pretty amazing. I was about fifteen feet away.

Did he just do his solo stuff or did he do some DMB songs as well?

i'm wondering if you mean the fenway park concert. i haven't. i think the last one i bought was Busted Stuff---i think they released one more after that, right? if so i missed it. maybe you have some insights on that one? keeool-

There was one more, I can't remember what the name was and I'm not on my home computer so I can't check but I really didn't care for it. There really wasn't anything on there that caught my attention...I was quite disappointed.

Wow, saying that I'm a HUGE DMB fan is an understatement. I've seen the band several times, and Dave with Time Reynolds once. Beautiful experiences! It's a nice feeling when you know a person is enjoying the heck out of what they're doing.

It's so hard for me to pick a favorite song, however, #41 kind of hits home for me right now. On the edge of my senior year in highschool, about to step out into "the real world" hearing the lyrics "I will go in this way, and find my own way out, I won't tell you to stay, but I'm coming to much more me." puts everything I've been feeling for the past few months into place.

There are a couple songs on there that I really like but for the most part, I can take or leave that one.

Weeping Willow, I agree with the Crash and Under the Table and Dreaming albums especially the later, I think I can easily say it's my favorite of all the discs. I really grew to like Everyday as well and I know a lot of die-hard fans thought they kind of sold out on that one but I rather enjoy it.

i hear ya idril---Some Devil is one of those CDs i can play without having to skip a song, unlike Crash. there are a couple songs on that one i really don't like, particularly the one right after Crash Into Me. ugh. i think i have to start a new thread because i just discovered some cool music today by Regina Spector, which is under the category of "anti-folk" whatever that is. i just ordered two of her Cds, so i may be putting away my Dave Matthews collection for a while. sorry Dave. :)
