Ok, I had been trying to stay away from this place for a bit (some stuff in real life to take care of etc) however over the last couple of days of not posting I ended up finally getting started (again) on this poem that has been in my head for the last 2 years. This is the latest draft, and it will likely be torn up and changed again before too long.

The idea came when I was out with a couple of friends one night and I saw a sticker on a lampost. It said "Pain for Sale" and had a phone number, I am guessing (no, I did not phone) that it was some dominatrix or other. This was just after my younger brother had been jumped by a group of people (story is elsewhere in the recesses of the forum) and left needing major reconstructive surgery (he still has a couple to undergo).

So anyway here it is:

Pain for Sale

Closing down
Reduced to clear
Not needed anymore
We’re all leaving here

Some bodies are temples
Mine’s ready to be condemned
Loose screws in the rafters
Won’t hold a meat hook, can only creak and bend

All kinds, all ways
Physical, mental
Lingering too
Available at the right price to you

So gather round, and check the goods (I don’t like this line)
Buy it for your mother
Buy it for your brother
Perfect gift this time of year

But questions remain:
Do buyers exist?
And can anyone tell me,
How much I can charge for this?

I know it kind of jumps around, and there is not really a maintained rythym througout however, that is it currently.

With Xmas coming - seems to be more pain than joy for many people. Hang in there with this theme - it's a good one, very applicable to our generation.

Interesting and unique:)
