This is the first poem i ever attempted and i found it while browsing my myspace blog.
Yes, Sir!
The thunderous winds take my ears
The pavement takes my feet
The sun rapes me of my color
The cold eats at my skin
A simple walk with a valiant resolution they all have said
Rules for a silly game they all have played
A broken child in a coffin nailed shut
Flowers for a happy mother left, deaf, blind, and dumb
I wear far too many masks my good sir
I speak quite too many words my dear friend
I shout at the top of my lungs just for kicks
I cry, for I fear blood will soon be my release
I kill time 3 minutes a year, and by that, it is far too little
I warrant truth from my eyes, although daily I am deceived
I rip the memories from my mind, the vile stains released
I welcome your input, creator, for now is a good time as ever
Do I pray? Yes, sir! I tell my faith
Do I love? Yes, sir! I whisper to my lover
Do I sin? Yes, sir! I shout at the heavens
Do I live? Yes, sir! I pull the trigger
The red future to brown escapes me
The white now covered in life
The cold metal still at my hand
The man still looking down
Yes, Sir!
The thunderous winds take my ears
The pavement takes my feet
The sun rapes me of my color
The cold eats at my skin
A simple walk with a valiant resolution they all have said
Rules for a silly game they all have played
A broken child in a coffin nailed shut
Flowers for a happy mother left, deaf, blind, and dumb
I wear far too many masks my good sir
I speak quite too many words my dear friend
I shout at the top of my lungs just for kicks
I cry, for I fear blood will soon be my release
I kill time 3 minutes a year, and by that, it is far too little
I warrant truth from my eyes, although daily I am deceived
I rip the memories from my mind, the vile stains released
I welcome your input, creator, for now is a good time as ever
Do I pray? Yes, sir! I tell my faith
Do I love? Yes, sir! I whisper to my lover
Do I sin? Yes, sir! I shout at the heavens
Do I live? Yes, sir! I pull the trigger
