You asked me.

You begged me.

I pleaded… felt defeated

Forget, you demanded.

Forget it, I responded.

What a word, what a vile word.

Of all the none spoken words

The one that stabs within your flesh and keeps you in suspense

Wont allow you to forget.

So, I ask you dear lover

What be the reason for your displeasure

Raped me of my memories, haven't you your treasure?

My voice, stifled by your pugnacity

My face broken, shattered by your depravity

The very core of my being, hollow and cold.

An empty vacuous home where love no longer grows.

And my foolish heart, rhythm less

A callous castle of brim stone and gold.

My last breath's been taken by another

Stentorian cords clipped by a new found more cunning lover

You ask me to forget.

You ask me to remain.

The stoic eyes linger on your face.

Answer me this lover.

Did you even know my name?

I really enjoyed this poem, and the way you've described how unfair forgiving and forgetting seems is brilliant!!:D
