I am finishing up a literary analysis of Hamlet and need a little insight and guidance on the topic.

What is your thesis?

I think you should expound a little bit more on the topic of, "Why Hamlet doesn't go around killing people as quickly as he 'ought' to." :D

Was that directed at me?

Because he's an indecisive twit, mostly.

Nah, the first fellow/lass.

It's not the time or the place, but I fully disagree :D. That's why I was sarcastically recommending that doilface15 write about it. ;)

It was more snappy comeback than literary analysis.

I'm beginning to think you two are the Sunshine Boys of the forum. I'm with Cuppa on this one. Hamlet spends way too much time whining and vacillating. Almost certain Shakespeare writes him as a true anti-hero type (compared to say Ivanhoe or William Tell or something.

In contrast I much prefer Macbeth because he takes responsibility for his actions - evil as may be - even after HIS long suffering wife leaves him the lurch.
