Just thought I'd post one more before I get sent to Japan for a few weeks. This is quite a lovely forum, I'll miss it until I return. Apologies in advance for the low quality of this piece.

Ciao.

The day you left this place
I lost my equation
In my magnetic white tux
     And yours, black
All things begin and all things end
Here

If the TV could have seen us then
The perfect image of 21st century love
A century too early and a decade too late

If you had said, "I don't complete"
I'd have known the systems to crash
And a tsunami
      Would have risen to animate
The decline of our fragile bonds

Your words of yesterday have been echoing
Through the hallways of my memory
Ever since

"You're too young to understand."

I speak it now and then to my friends
A monolith to unbury
Times we once shared a smile

I will miss that cynical laugh
From far beneath Alpha Centauri and surrounded by the oaks

So very different,
You and I,
Too young to understand
And stay alive to admit this bastard love of ours

Japan??? So cool!!!

The poem is not bad, maybe the beginning is not great... But I like the rest, it's quite 'poetical'... and it feels leass 'heavy' than your other poems, maybe there are lesslong complictaed words or whatever... Nice anyway :)

p.s. I like the last part of your poem.

So very different,
You and I,
Too young to understand
And stay alive to admit this bastard love of ours
