To the peoples of this forum,
I gravely need your help.

I have to write a 3 page essay on the theme of Heaven and Hell incorporated into Brave New World and Frankenstein by using only quoting from those books and the bible (It's not a religious thing, but I need to use as many allowed sources as possible, thusly the bible may come in handy).

So, may you PLEASE help me identify some major points to help me out here. I just need a good pushing to get going on this project.Thank you so much in advance to those who help my cause!

Hey,
I studied Frankenstein last year, twice, and I'm currently studying Brave New World, so I think I may be able to help. In regards to Frankenstein, think about the different settings when Frankenstein and the monster are together, compared to when Frankenstein is alone. Together they are always in desolate places (the ice in the beginning, and later on the ice in Geneva), and on his own it is in an elevated position (i.e. the attic where he studies). Whereas the monster on his own is in lower positions (i.e. in the forest, in the barn). These can be seen to represent the extremes of Heaven (above- as he sees himself as God-like), and Hell (in desolation). With Brave New World, again look at the landscapes presented, but also look at the emotional state of each landscapes people. For example the ritual in the reservation, can be seen as demonic, due to the represntation of snakes. The laboratory in the city, with the lifeless colours, and drug endused happiness can be seen as a false Heaven. Also look at John's situation at the end of the novel, as solitude was his thinking to happiness (his Heaven), but the outcome was different. Let me know if that helps.
