Sometimes when I'm trying to post something after I click 'submit' it says I'm not logged in when I am. If I go back to 'send reply' it says the page has expired. Then when I log in, it says no post was specified when it was. *wondering what's going on and kindly asking the almighty Admin to fix it*

Do you use cookies to browse the forums?

No.... but it should still work, shouldn't it?

When you don't use cookies you end up using sessions which can expire after a period of inactivity. So if you're typing a long post it is possible for your session to expire while posting and then the system does not realize you are logged in.
I recommend using cookies so long as you are not on a public computer.

Perhaps the thread you were posting to moved or was changed while you were typing your reply.

how long do the sessions last?
I'm using Win98SE, Netscape 7.0, DSL, have never had this problem before.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Hours.
faye, if you go into your browser Preferences, then History, (at least in Netscape) you can adjust how many pages (and applicable cookies) in a `session' history your computer stores. Mine's set at 50, so, I can literally hit the back button up to 50 times and be right back to where I was for any specific website, with my cookies there...
You may want to change this, if you have it set to a really low number, crank it up, or vice versa.

Mine also keeps cutting out and it says the page I'm searching for cannot be found. Can I fix this as it means I have to restart the computer to get back on this site?

I had an odd problem today, I posted in the nick thread, saw a wierd blip and dens reply, then when I left den was last responded so I went back in and den's response wasn't there, neither was mine so I responded again, and my message came up twice, aswell as den's. I then edited my second response, and came over hear.
I really don't know what the problem was.
