I need a book to compare to The Stranger, by Albert Camus. I have the list prepared, if someone could offer some guidance it would be appreciated :)!. I need a compare contrast, or contrast contrast comparison between the two novels. It's going to be the Stranger and:

The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
War and Peace by Voyna I Mir
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Can someone please offer some guidance as to which of the above listed books could best be compared to Albert Camus's, The Stranger. Any and all advice is appreciated :)!

I think that The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka is the best of those three for your needs. Actually, I don't see how would someone compare The Stranger with W&P or C&P.
http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19023 about Kafka and if you need about Mersault, I'll be glad to help.

Voyna I Mir is original name of the book, Leo Tolstoy is the writer:D

Isn't there a common theme of segregation? Camus' book is about a man who is outside of, or cut off from almost everything, basic human emotion, other people etc. While in Kafka's book you have Gregor Samsa who is changed so that he can't communicate with his own family and he's basically confined to one room where he dies alone. I think segregation is the right word for that, not sure, but that would be a common theme as far as I can see.
