Hello,
I am a student from Poland.
The reason I am writing to you is my BA thesis preparations.
Im on a 3rd year of Philological College of Higher Education in Wroclaw, Poland
In order to get my diploma I am supposed to prepare a thesis
supported by australian modern novel resources. Unfortunately not much was presented during
previous years of my studies. I must form a thesis (anything conneced with modern novel),
write a paper and present it in June. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some
motive along with interesting resources, books, maybe films. Although I have not specified my field of research yet,
Im thinking of diversity of society (origins),identity matter/problems(e.g.immigrants, aborigine...)maybe some problems or important matters,
but again I do not have an appropriate knowledge.
Any suggestions, titles appreciated
ATB to all,
Pete from Poland

I don't know much about Australian literature, although I have read some.
You might start with these articles in Wikipedia:

Patrick White & Colleen McCullough are both world-class Australian novelists.

White's "Voss" and "Fringe of Leaves" would provide enough discussion material for a thesis.

McCullough's "Morgan's Run," "The Touch" and "Angel" would be rewarding reading.

Both authors have written many very good books, but I mentioned the above particularly, because I remember them as being relevant to some of the themes you (PetePL) listed.
