Saying Hello Because I'm New Here

I thought I'd just take a couple of minutes to say "Hi!" to everyone here.
I'm new on this site having switched from another that I was rather dissatisfied with. That site sadly had users being abusive to eachother with rude language, etc. I understand that this site doesn't allow that so I should like it better here. I'm 58 years-old and I've written poetry since I was in my teens, mostly just for fun and to get my feelings out. I enjoy sharing my poems with other poets and reading theirs. I look forward to doing that with you!
