I saw something that Azmuse wrote in everlasting story... and I wanted to comment on it.... but I didn't want to interrupt the story.... so here it is.

Jay and Azmuse were talking about whether or not Azmuse's part of the story was good (Jay saying it was and azmuse saying it was crap)

I always hate it when people compliment me, ya know? Its damn depressing. Its like... if what I just did is considered good, then what the hell is great? I dunno...

It makes things seem worthless. I especially hate it when people compliment my writing. I know I'm not a great writer. I can see for myself how great writers write. I can see how they can take a flimsy idea and turn it into something profound... then someone compliments me... and it makes me feel like nothing can possibly be worthwhile if THAT is good.

Anyone else feel that way?

When I'm collapsed in a ball, shivering, on the floor.

Yeah . . . sometimes.

Forty-five seconds, approximately. I've been smoking a lot these days.

In one skit they advertised a roller coaster called 'the Devastator'. It was a 300 mph, neck-breaking rocket that fired you towards the ground at a ninety-degree angle into a tunnel which had a two-minute stretch of track submerged underwater. The death count was even posted next to the height scale.

Best episode, ever.

Nah, the show went off the air in '97. The DVDs are available though.

Didn't Steve Odenkirk write those shows? He did Kung Pow, and the thumb movies. He also wrote Nothing to Loose, with Martin Lawerence and Tim Robbins

Ok Fool, then it's not you, but me. When I like "crappy" things, how's that supposed to make you feel bad about that? Sorry, didn't notice the thread... just now

well... I guess it should make me feel fine. ...because if someone likes it then I should get a sense of fullfillment out of it... I think...

but when people call work (that I know sucks) great... it is depressing because it seems to depreciate the truly great work.
