Hey guys!
I was just thinking of all the books I'm really excited about that are coming out soon, or within a few months. I can't wait to get my hands on the new Jeff Shaara novel (The Rising Tide), or the next book by Dean Koontz (Forever Odd). Both of them come out in November. The latest from Jasper Fforde came out in the States just a little while ago. So did more collections from Ray Bradbury. Unfortunately, the release date for Michael Chabon's new novel (The Yiddish Policemen's Union) got pushed back to late spring of next year, so I have longer to wait for that!
What are some of the books you can't wait to break the binding on?

Hi Higley, nice question, but I have no idea what is coming out. How do you know? Is there a web site for anticipated novels. I have heard the Tolkien's son has cobbled together some of his father's unpublished stuff and is coming out with a offshoot of Lord of the Rings. Cormac MacCarthy's new novel is expected out shortly, if not out already.

Virgil, normally I find out by looking up my favorite authors on amazon.com and looking at the publishing/release dates for the titles. Every so often I'm pleasantly surprised to see that something new is coming out!
Pensive, I also am really excited for the last Harry Potter Book :)

Among others, well some are already out but I just have not gotten the opportunity to grab them yet.
In the Company of the Courtesan - Sarah Dunant
The Thirteenth Tale - Diane Setterfield (This just came out and looks awesome)

I'm curious about this one too, I guess it has been published in part in Lost Tales 2 I believe, but this will a much more 'fleshed out' version of it. I'm not quite clear on what part of the mythology this will include but any new information is always welcomed. :)

I usually discover a book is coming out by checking the author in Yahoo (morbidly to see if they are still alive--will Sue Grafton make it to 'Z'?!--Was pleasantly surprised to see John Mortimer still amongst us with a new Rumpole coming in October --Rumpole and the Reign of Terror. Also I keep checking to see if Donald Hamilton's final Matt Helm novel will ever see print--Fawcett should have done it out of respect--(if they are still a company that is).
