I just wanted to put up some of the many interesting points within The Bible that I think reveal the divine authorship of which it claims, I hope you think so too.

1. Creation Symmetry

In the first three days of the Creation account you have God creating the physical

In the next three days you have him filling the physical

1st Day: Creates light. 3rd Day: Creates two great lights
2nd Day: Creates Sky and Sea. 4th Day: Fills Sky and Sea
3rd Day: Creates Land. 6th Day: Fills the Land

Incidentally in Revelation 13:18 it says "Count the number of the *Beast* for it is the number of a *Man*" That number is of course the renowned 666

It’s interesting that both Man and Beast was created on the Sixth Day

2. Numbers - 1 3 6 7 12 40

There are many numbers that are prominent within The Bible but 7 is one of the most fascinating

You have:

7 Days Creation
7 Days within the Ark
7 Locks of hair on Samson
7 Candlesticks in the Sanctuary
7 Times Naaman has to go under water to cleanse him from leprosy

In the book of John you have 7 "I am" statements and 7 Miracles

Also the multiples thereof

In the books of Daniel and Revelation the main end time prophecy books 7 and seventh is mentioned 42 times (42 is a multiple of 7, 7 * 6)

If you count the people in the Genealogy of Jesus in Luke 4 then you have 77 and Jesus is the 77th

2. Biblical Chiasm

In the beginning you have

Creation and then Judgement upon the Sinners

Just as at the end you have

Judgement upon the Sinners and then Creation

So you have the structure of ABBA ;) A reversal and symmetry

3. Names

Names are so phenomenal within The Bible, take for instance the sons of Adam through Seth the line through which Jesus came from

(Meaning of Name)

Adam (Man)
Seth (Appointed)
Enos(Fallen)
Cainan(Lament/Cry out)

So through the meaning of the names you have the story of mans condition

There is a wonderful artistic structure within The Bible and a great deal more than the majority are aware of, even those who consider themselves slightly aware such as me should always keep the thought foremost that we will never understand something completely(not in this world), it is illogical to say so.

Because the bible contains number games it must have been written by God? Was the movie Seven also divinely inspired? Is Andrew Kevin Walker the messiah?

I hate to burst your bubble because I am in fact delighted that you have found the poetry. In my opinion, It is the stepping stone to understanding. Now find the wisdom. The Upanishads, the kabballa, tao, Mayan systems, alchemy all have similar numeric play. If you really want to be amazed look up Pi,e (base two number system), phi, planc's constant etc. You will uncover the divine in such a way as to make Dante regret his tour. Stand in awe of the sunshine and feel the heat of a nuclear furnace a million miles away bath your skin in divine grace.

Names have such meaning and depth. I am trying to write an allegory with some friends, and everyone's name has certain significance.

Christian, you are right. The Bible in it of itself has just as much proof to our Creator as anything we could ever need!

I find it interesting that in early civilizations all around the Fertile Crescent, there were legends about floods, one creator, prophecies of deliverance, and all that stuff. Of course, the legends are usually human explinations for what only God can do!
