It's about the seduction of a couple of girls by a man with a reputation of seduction. Some movies were based on it like "Dangerous Liaisons", "Valmont", and "Cruel Intentions".

There's a big production of a theatre version running in London right now. Unfortunately I didn't get to see it before I came home. :(
