I wanted to find some quality short love stories on the internet, but all I've found were mostly crap. Could you point me at some site with quality love stories or tell me the books/authors I should look for? Thanks.

Depends on how short but "A Farewell to Arms" by Hemingway has a love story mixed in and it's a short novel, also one of the greatest ever written IMO, so you'd be doing yourself no harm in reading that. For shorter works, try "White Nights" by Dostoevski.

Hey,

One of my fav short story writers is Guy de Maupassant :thumbs_up . As a matter of fact, I found this forum on an attempt of searching the online texts of his stories.

For more options on classic short stories, you can check out bibliomania as well

Thank both of you very much for your tips. I need those information for my research about short love stories. If you know some other writers I could look at in Google, Bibliomania or in local library it would be very helpful to me :) . Thanks a lot for these tips so far :)

Coming, Aphrodite! by Willa Cather. One of the loveliest stories I've ever read, and one of the best written, perhaps the best in it's field. The author has created one of the most memorable characters of literature in Eden Bower.

Here's the link to an online text of the story from this site.

Mark Twain's "The Diary of Adam" and "The Diary of Eve." It's there somewhere.

Chekhov's "The Bear" or "The Boor"
