The smilies and all

I don't know if something has been said about this already nor if it has to do with the recent update but I think it doesn't because something similar used to happen before too... I guess it might have to do with the forum software or whatever and can't be changed, or if it can then it's Admin's choice but I'd kindly ask to change that if it's possible...

Apparently, a message can't containt more than 10 smilies :eek: There was a limit before too but it wasn't specified. Now if I write a very long post, with quotes maybe, I might need lots of smilies to convey my meaning in the best possible way... Maybe this feature is there to avoid spammers and such who would put only smilies and really abuse them, but isn't this a bit exagerated?

It's also quite hard to have only 2000 characters in private messages and, how much is that, 10 000 maybe, in posts, but that's more easily bearable by splitting...

Sorry I complain so much but this is the only forum I know where I have to edit my messages 10 times because there's too much of something...

200 pms is a lot. If they're all the max size thats around 2 megabytes of space, per user. So I don't think I'll be increasing that limit. Although I may do so as a sort of contest or game.

Well I might do promotions where members who do something, like say get a certain number of referrals, will get special features, like a bigger PM box.
