Naguib Mahfouz dies

Naguib Mahfouz died yesterday in Cairo, aged 94. He was hospitalized in mid-July after he gained a head injury from a fall, and had been in a serious condition since.

I just thought that some here might be interested to know.

I heard the news this morning and I felt so sorry for the death of this genious writer who recieved the nobel prize for his trilogy that carried the names of three neighbourhoods in cairo and it talks about the life of an egyption family in the begining of the 20th century with his very famous character " Si sayyed " whos considered as a symbol in the arab world .

so Najeeb died.he was very sick lately.
