Hahaha... I'm sure not. You probably fall on the down-to-earth side of the line. But the arm break thing is pretty bizarre. :p

I'll go!

I have a Welsh Corgi.

My new cell phone was stolen last month.

I worked on the local Republican campaign committee this fall.

Come now, Caroline...wait for more than one guess before answering! :p

I can't remember if I read number two...I'm going to guess number one.

Taliesin

Number three.

Number 2 is a lie.

I'll also go with #2 -- as it is a 'new' cellphone stolen 'last' month......

Shut up, Robin! And 2. I think it sounded too irate at the event to not be real.

Ouch, y'all! Robin was right. I don't have a Welsh Corgi, but I do have a dachshund named Sam, oo iz my bebeh yesh ee iz awwwwww.....

I actually got my very first cell phone a couple weeks into my first semester at college, which makes it pretty dadgum new, and it was stolen the day before Thanksgiving break. It was by a little kid, too! His mom called us up later saying he had "found" a phone (a witness saw him pick it up and not turn it in at the library desk, though he told the kids he was with he would, and walk out with it very discreetly), but we haven't heard anything else about that. I'm happy to say, though, that I did get an insurance-against-theft replacement the selfsame night. ^_^

Who's next?

Also: Pendragon, your clapping hands smilie is downright creepy. *shudders* Hee. You obviously haven't seen the laughing skull? http://www.industreal.spb.ru/smiles/scull.gif

1. I never compose any type of writing without an outline.

2. Other than you people on the Litnet, I have no close friends.

3. I spend time trying to solve unsolved crimes.

ONLY THE SHADOW KNOWS!

Laindessiel
12-08-2006, 11:13 AM
Oooooo...how I wish I am your shadow!

Right, but I'll try being one..

Number 1's a lie. Simply because I thought numbers 2 and 3 are true. And why number 2? Because you have so many friends it's impossible for you to have very close-knit ones! ;)

RobinHood3000

Number one seems like a lie, but I don't want number 2 to be true! :(

I was actually hoping Pensy would ring in here, as she has witnessed the Pen Sonnet Writing in progress, and knows number one to be false. I write the sonnets in Microsoft Word which I kept handy on my desktop only to catch my dyslexic spelling. They go up almost as fast as they are written.

Number three is also true. In the back of the Brain Teaser’s thread somewhere is a Shadow short called "The Three Heirs". It has two shortcut clues to the crook, one which deals with Jack the Ripper, and is not included in all books on the Ripper, showing my fascination with unsolved crime.

Which brings us to number two. Sadly, it's true. I have some acquaintances, but none I can talk to on a daily basis or share my life like I can here, or be accepted for me and me alone. The Forum is my home away from home, and you are my true and only friends. God bless every one of you! :) :thumbs_up

Okay, here we go. It is a really easy one I guess, can't think of anything better.

1. I hated Lady Chatterley's Lover when I read it.
2. Talkative little children really annoy me!
3. I like all the colours in the world equally. (green, blue, yellow, etc..)

The first one is a truth. I really disliked the book when I read it.

The third one is also a truth. A few weeks ago, sky blue and green were my favourite colours, but then due to some reason, I realized that the world would look really boring all in green and blue. I have started to admire all colours equally now. :)

The second one, surely, is a lie. I love to hear out little children, they talk just so cute. It can't be a truth. :p

Robert E. Howard was a wizard of a writer. He sold his first story at age 15. He commited suicide at age 30, despondent over his mother's death. But he wrote many pulp stories and created many famous characters. I'll name five characters. Which one is Not Howards?

1.) Christopher Syn

2.) Bran Mak Morn

3.) Conan

4.) Solomon Kane

5.) Red Sonja

Which sword-slinger was not created by Robert E. Howard?

1.) I am very fearful of hurting other's feelings, to the point of absurdity.

2.) I am trying to conquer my fears, such as I have, like arachnophobia.

3.) As I consider anger a waste of time, I strive to always keep my temper well.

Now for the reveal, which I hope doesn't ruin my reputation.

#1 is true, I will PM people to ask if a post is OK with them before I post it or offer to take it down if it is offensive because I am hypersensitive to other's feelings.

#2 is also true. I am still working on that arachnophobia. This isn't jungle country, but we do have several spiders you can hear walk across dry leaves. Some are large enough to catch small fish to eat. Then also, the hard-shelled ones creep me out worse than the hairy ones for some reason. I can hold a tarantula but don't put a large garden spider on me! And Nursery Spiders! Yeow!

So #3 is the lie. I do consider anger a waste of time, but I blow my stack too easily, and can get rather grouchy and miffed at small things others would just let slide. I'm working on it as well. Sorry! :(

You dont seem to be a person who will lose their temper easily.Yeah, I know Maddie. But y'all don't see me in person, just on line. I started to quit the LitNet once, as some may recall, because I had become fed up with some peoples remarks. I would never tell the Moderators who, and I still wouldn't, I would have left and that would have been it. There was a MAJOR protest over that decision to leave, and so I changed my mind. I still become upset from time to time and can be grouchy. At home I withdraw into myself at times, over really nothing. So yes, I get angry easily. I mentioned the arachnophobia in a thread, asking if one would hold a large spider to try to confront the fear. (Which I did, and continue to do.) But the big hard shell spiders I still don't want on me! Eew!

You don't let it show, Uncle Pen. As you said, you are sensitive to others' feelings. I am too, but I don't know quite how to pace myself when charged with debatable issues. I don't like this game. it requires too much thinking on my part and I don't like to do that. no offense to those of you who play it and no offense to the original thread starter. I am just lazy and I don't want to think about all that so I will just play the easy games that require little to no thought at all (and all those that will allow me to list my boring ramblings). Well, I was published once. It was a very small religious book for children. No money honey, but it was accepted by the only publisher I tried. It was fun and my family was very impressed for about six months.

I did have a crazy power drill accident where I was impaled in the left breast by a drill chuck key. It didn’t go all the way through, but hit the other hard enough to bruise it badly. I was four months pregnant and still nursing at the time. Crazy things always happen to me. As far as injuries go I was so lucky. It sounds much worse than it was.

I never left my husband. We where married over thirteen years ago and we have never looked back.

So wisenheimer is the winner! :thumbs_up

OK: The shocking reveal:

#3. is of course true, as that is how I originally came to this site, one of my author friends is also a member, although he seldom visits. I write reviews for amazon.com, and am taken very seriously, one author changed a story in his new editon strictly on my say so.

#2. Yes, I can be a hard man. And when I dislike an author, I don't care how many good reviews or how many of my fellow forum people gush over the books, I still dislike them. But I dislike them because I have read them, and I will try new material in the vague hope that this will be better. (Wrong.)

This brings us to #1 and Weisinheimer, who seems to be Psychic! Now all of you are wondering what old Pendragon did to get himself fingerprinted by THE MAN.. Actually it was only a thumbprint, but I did fall afoul of the authorities. When I first had my nervous breakdown, I refused all treatment. This will only lead one direction: for your own good, you will be placed under a Temporary Restraining Order (TDO) and placed in a hospital by force. As I would not cooperate, police were required to use a certain amount of force, and I was thumb printed, restrained, and appeared before a Judge next morning when I had calmed down. Nice job, Weisinheimer!

Well, you have now. I am allergic to aspirin. It causes the entire face to swell, unfortunately including my tongue which could be quite dangerous. I only take either tylenol or paracetamol, and stay clear of all other pain killer brands.

I'll go with number 1, do they still make spray deodorant?

Yes, they do still make spray deodorants for men. They no longer use CFC's for the propellant however, it has been changed to one of the HFC's instead. The most notable spray deodorant is Axe/Lynx, I have tried various brands and get the same rash in my armpit - something which doesnt happen with stick deodorant

Indeed the lie is number 1. I did not smoke pot, I was a speed freak and glue sniffer, and the inhalants almost cost me my life once, but that's another story.

2.) Yes, I'm careful, Robin, but unfortunately prone to a certain amout of sheer bad luck. Both arms, both legs, ribs, slipped disc, sacrum, collarbone, skull injuries, neck injuries, all fingers broken, (basketball!), right hand, wrist, re-built left leg, hiked over 8 miles on a busted right knee, etc. This from a guy with at least some martial arts skills!

How did that go, manicure, pedicure, perm? Tough one here. I don't see you as a vain person, and yet I must choose only one as a lie. However, I was correct about the Wicca past, and know more of that particular sect than I perhaps should know. Now you are a Christian and have mentioned no church affiliations, something I like. If one tells me they are Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Church of God, etc., it tells me where they go to church. That doesn't tell me if they are a Christian, they could be a hypocrite for all I know.

I will go with the perm, because if you have the manicure or the pedicure as true, you are likely to have the other. The hair is the odd player.

Pen.
