Hey everyone,
I'm working on a presentation at the moment about Great Expectations, and my topic is "Discuss how cultural values have been maintained and manipulated". So I'm looking at the original Charles Dickens text, and the 1998 movie.
I'd be SO grateful if anyone could tell me if they think I'm heading in the right direction with these values. I'm going to talk about:
Morality
A "true gentlemen"
The role of women
Social Criticism
Forgiveness
Do you think those are the main values of the text? Am I missing out anything particularly important. I'd be happy to give anyone else a hand in return with your questions as well.
Thanks a bunch!
