The Russian Revolution:

With the slogan "Bread! Peace! Land!" Lenin rallied a group of middleclassmen (not working class or outlaws, but honest middle class citizens). During the October Revolution, Lenin siezed power as a communist dictator. The Czar Nicholas II was overthrown and Russia became a communist nation. The revolution was quick (unlike Russia's failed revolution of 1904).

You also have to know about the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, the details/names of which escape me right now.
