I am actually studying Wuthering Heights for University after reading it last in Grade 12 (which was 13 years ago for me!)...

I have a question to answer that points out (within the question) that Thruscross Grange represents Civilisation and Wuthering Heights represents savagery... what do you think?

The question actually states implies that this is fact... I'm not so sure?!

I would agree with this. I think the atmosphere at Wuthering Heights was definitely more volatile and intense. Of course,Heathcliff living at WH has quite a bit to do with my opinion. He's an intense kinda guy.

A little simplified, but I think there is a good argument to be made for it. Yes, I would tend to agree with this dichotomy, but you could also find other dichotomies, such as reason versus passion.

Hi Virgil...

I agree there are other 'vs' in there, and reason vs passion is a good example...

Thanks for your thoughts Virgil and TheFemme
