So...how are things around here? I've been away for a while but I think I'll be around quite frequently in the next month at least... Update me on the latest news! What has been going on? Any topics I should absolutely see? (link!) Who's still around? Who's taking a break? Who's gone, who's new? How's the general mood? Give me a summary of the past 3-4 months!

Welcome back, I know how you feel.

The first one that comes to mind is that Literaturerocks broke his/her toe.

Umm, I posted my picture in the photo album.

Logos has a LitNet Latest Additions thread (on new authors, quizzes, etc.)

Hope that helps a bit.

Hey, such quick replies! :D Yes I was exactly noticing the interview thing and trying to decide if I feel strong enough to read it all now (got back last night and didn't get much sleep so my understanding capabilities are even lower than usual and even affect my English at the moment ;))

Hey grace, I don't think I know you and I see you joined not long before I vanished so that must be why, but I'll check your pic as I'm curious of new faces here :)

Why are there a few people with the same avatar? and why is everybody wishing a Happy Birthday to papayahead, and most of all where is papaya and why that avatar that many people now have is the same that she used to have or so it seems to me?:confused::confused:
Maybe I need some sleep :D

For Papaya's birthday, August 2nd if I remember correctly, everyone changed their avatar to hers. Some are just a little slower in changing it back. As for where she is, I do not know! :D

Well, Koa, maybe you are right...that I did just show up before you left...anyway, Hello then!

Koa

Ah I see, thanks grace! So a happy birthday to papaya from me too!

Yes well I see you joined in late March and I left at the end of April but I wasn't posting much in that last month so I might have not noticed you, which doesn't sound like a nice thing to say but sometimes it happens when you check forums quickly. Anyway, plenty of time to get to know each other in the future and Hello from me too! :)

How did your trip go, Koa?

Koa

Heh... in general, well. Many new things, many new places... I enjoyed living in a new city and I feel very weird being at home... Work unfortunately wasn't as cool as it could have been but well, I survived well enough.

Oh Koa, I am glad that it went out well but I hope that you will see even better trips in future. :D

Hiya Koa! I'm so glad to see you back!! You left before I came back, where did you go? Galavanting some more round Europe I suppose *goes green with envy*. I just finished my teaching exams about a month ago. So now that I can study what I want, I've been around here more often myself.

I've been enjoying the new teacher section, as well as the interveiws and the sewing circle thread. Did you see I got a new puppy? She's a lot of hard work but a lot of fun too. I have to keep my hair piled on my head because she wants to chew it. I imagine this is what I'll look like when we have a toddler too. I'm a bit frazzled and worn out!

Welcome back, Koa. I'm not sure all that much is different, except for a few people being banished. I guess you missed the big Italian world cup celebration. ;) It was big here in New York too. There are still some Italian flags about. :D

I was actually glad I missed it :D I don't like overexcitment :D Well, for the first 10 minutes I guess it would have been fun, but I like to have experienced it as an Italian Abroad, which I want to make my profession of ;) :brow: (the Italian Abroad, I mean ;))

Yes Shea, I worked for 3 months in Kiev, Ukraine. The place is brilliant, as I said the experience as a whole could have been better, but there was nothing that could be called a problem and I suppose that I learnt something even from some of the things I disliked...or so I hope.

Glad to see your familiar faces are still around, and waiting to get to know the newbies!

Nice seeing you around, Koa. I probably would have noticed earlier, but life away from the computer has kept me quite pre-occupied. Welcome back, regardless - very pleasant to see you have not yet forgotten about us. :D

Would anyone update me about what is that PAM thing I see all over the Games forum? I'm too lazy to try and understand the whole point by myself...

Welcome back Koa . Glad to see you back from your trip, and hope you had a wonderful time. PAM stands for "person above me." There are many variations on the PAM theme that have cropped up on the game forums recently: compliment the person above me, insult the person above me, describe what the person above me would be were he/she a piece of fruit (I think I made that last one up...though it may actually be there, who knows). As Virg. said, I think, we had something of a to do and some people were banned/left, and we've got had some new members come in, but other than that I think things are fairly status quo. I posted a shot of myself on the photo thread somewhere but that's hardly forum news. See you around. :)

Koa
08-06-2006, 08:14 AM
AAAAH thanks PL, I was actually thinking that the PAM was some kind of robot ;), or some imaginary character in general, that you guys had created and were giving features to... that's why I was lost!!!

Yeah I vaguely heard of some riot and of course I would be dying to know what happened but I won't ask, at least not publicly... shame, I missed the fight! :argue: ;)

Btw, I feel the absence of Emily and Jay, plus of other people that were hardly around when I left anyway so that's no news... and I actually think there's someone I might have forgotten to remember ;), which is rather shameful of me

Jay has been around, although not as frequent. Emily has been missing for a few months. I don't know what happened.

hi, Koa!
What did you like in Kiev? Have you been to Bulgakov's apartment?

Koa
08-08-2006, 03:15 PM
Actually, no... I haven't been to Bulgakov's place  Well I saw many times where it was but never really had the time to go. I've been told it wasn't that good but I would have liked to give it a try, but I went to very few museums since I was working on weekdays and on weekends I liked to walk around and often not since morning, and museums tend to close so terribly early in those countries...

I liked the whole feeling of the city and I simply loved to walk around... I loved Xreshatyk and Maidan, and the parks... It's really a great city to take nice walks (well in summer at least ;))
