I don't think there was a thread for this, so I decided to start one ;) Just wondered what other people thought of this book. I really enjoyed it; at the beginning I thought it would be quite a tough read, but the language is so poetic and evocative that you are quickly drawn into the story. I also loved the Homeric allusions (being a fan of Greek mythology, and The Odyssey) and I thought that this was one of the best modern texts i'd read in a while. What does everyone else think?
