Here are the procedures for the book club. We will do books in 2 month cycles.
1. The first month in the cycle will be for nominating the next cycle's book.
2. The second month in the cycle will be for voting on the next book.
This subforum is for discussion of the book of the month only. Keep discussion on other books elsewhere.
Any questions/comments on procedures post replies here.
The moderator for this section is Scheherazade.
Also, in regard to plot elements. If you are going to post spoilers please warn people in advance. Say something like "If you haven't yet read chapter 16 don't read this."

Guys I am not going to be available to moderate any discussion. So if someone wants to just take the initiative and start a discussion that'd be great.
oh goody, I didn't know we had Dracula on the site... saves me some (ok, ALL) troubles looking for it... THANKS

Discuss it here.
wait, do the discussions have a timing? i mean, if i read a book 2 months later, can i still come here and post on the thread about it, if i have something to say?

I dont see why not. A good discussion woudl be comparing similar books that the club has read. Or if your just late, I dont see why you shouldnt be able to lplay catch-up.
Yep, that's what I think, but I was wondering if this was in the original project of the book club. :)

I think its hardly fair that someone can nominate three books and all of them are put into the poll when others only suggest one but don't get a look in, just because the books they are not available on this site. I didn't realise that there was this kind of 'consideration' attached. I prefer democracy and as this doesn't seem very democratic, I dont think I shall bother voting.

I'm not quite so insensed about it, but it has bothered me a bit that people nominate more than one book at a time. I always assumed they just didn't know there was a limit and only one of their books would be chosen. I agree it seems unfair.

I didn't even read any of the rules... based on all previous book clubs I just *assumed* a person could nominate one book total.
where may I find the publishers and authors of the books on the monthly book list?

You wont find the publishers but here is the list of books that have been read with author names. (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3669)
happy reading!
