this is my first poem posted on this site and i would like who read this to be honest... as in brutally honest, good or bad i don't mind, i can only learn from mistakes, or from others. Feel free to help me.
Title: Candle light
Gener: U
Disclaimer: I wrote this whilst in a middle of a power cut and i was bored, and this is what both of them managed to make. Please don't use this poem with out my permision =) thank you.
A black out occurs, and
I'm in my room.
I light each candle, by
Which i'm blinded, when
Friction is met.
As I write this, I
Stare at the light.
I look closely, and I
See, What look like
Fire faries.
I smile as they dance,
As they flood the room
With their energy,
Banashing the darkness
That there once was.
I'm careful not to
Anger them,
As a Tragedy might occur
Scaring everything in their path
So it can feel their Wrath.
Gently I say my Farewell
To the faries who've kept me
Company,
Welcoming back the darkness.
With every blow i make, I'm
Silenced in the darkness that
Consumed me.
