Ho-now! I did not know the dead undying,
Were ever touched by the passing of days nor years.
And yet the callow lilies bloom, and the ravens be crying,
That Kathy's crypt has been renewed: votive candles appear!
The passing year has not changed the bloom of youth,
Not laid a silver thread among the raven hair,
Her breath still has the scent of roses, yeah, forsooth,
For the undying dead time can never touch nae mair!
See, here she passes in the shadows, all white in her shroud,
Her smile oh so pleasant, not a rictus death grin.
With those glorious locks unfolding behind her like a cloud,
Though stirred by something, I know not what, perhaps the wind.
As she passes by me, she tosses to me a jet-black rose:
And gives me a wink, as she lifts its mate up to her nose.

Many thanks again, everyone. I had some cake last night about 2 hours after dinner. I am very spoiled this week because friends and family have different schedules, so when one is available, they want to do something. I have had 2 birthday lunches so far and one dinner. I shall blow up like a balloon! :lol: And I don't care! :p :p

Well, I still think age is a matter of perspective. My dad laughed at me, and his ladyfriend called me a kid. "You're 40, talk to us about old when you hit 74!" But it is still how you feel and how you act that makes you youthful or an "old fogey" I have met kids in college (I am an older returned student) and they are much more "fogey-ish" than me by a long shot.
