I am reading the count of monte cristo for the second time around, Monte Cristo is a character and a story I have become obsessed with. In one of the chapters it describes a crest of sorts that represented The Count, could someone post that quote and/or direct me to the chapter in which it appears as I would love to have that as a tattoo.

The only mention I can find is from chapter 85 when Monte Cristo is travelling with Edward to keep him out of the way for the 3 days that begin the down fall of Farnand. Hope that helps:
'In a creek lay a little sloop, with a narrow keel and high masts, bearing on its flag the Monte Cristo arms which were a mountain on a sea azure, with a cross gules on the shield.'

Yeah. That's the only mention I can remember. Sadly, that's as discriptive as it got.

Your interpretation of the visual would be as good as any artist's since the novel contains no illustrations to speak of, my friend.
