That's right, twelve years of my life for a handshake and a piece of paper.

I send you my personal congratulations, mon ami. Now you will probably spend more years of education for more handshakes and a diploma on the wall. C'est la vie! http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/verschiedene/n010.gif

 Congrats!

Hopefully you got more out of your schooling than you say. You learned how to read and write, and all sorts of other things, although you may not of appreciated it at the time.

Also congrats that you have exactly 300 posts as I write this.

Now you will probably spend more years of education for more handshakes and a diploma on the wall. C'est la vie.Undoubtedly. I am considering attending Háskóli Íslands (that's the University of Iceland, if you don't speak the language) after I'm done with college. College consists of a bunch of humanities (including English Lit, of course). Thank you very much for your congratulations.
Also congrats that you have exactly 300 posts as I write this.Yeah, you noticed that too? Thanks buddy.

Don't make me laugh Ry. When you get to be my age, then you're starting to get old.

Congratulations Cuppajoe, life starts here. I personally think college gets so much more exciting. Relax and have fun a bit, you probably haven't realized you have quite an accomplishment on your hands.

Congrats on making it--that's more than many do. Hope your college experience is a good one.

I did get my piece of paper, but decided to forego the handshake, not being real big on ceremony. On graduation night I was forced to call in sick, having been diagnosed with the unusual and highly contagious affliction, flatheadgownatosis.

College starts in September, and I will be living with my friends until then. We certainly plan on spending a lot of time at the Silver Buckle, a popular pub even among my non-drinking friends. Gotta love a bar with chess boards.

Lifes gonna suck when you grow up, when you grow up, when you grow up...Lifes gonna suck when you grow up...it sucks pretty bad right now!Stan buddy, I've been hearing that song for the past twelve years.

From one milestone to the next life is interesting no matter how much you read the philosophy section of the forums ... there's a reason to keep going. Best of luck in the comming years pal.
Congradulations.

I send many congratulations, cuppajoe, and apologize that I have arrived late to send my best wishes. You have succeeded and overcome a large feat and life, and assumed great responsibility; hence, all that hard work and diligence finally seemed worth the effort.
I wish you luck in your aspiring future and many congratulations; though, I have no doubt, a young and obviously brilliant mind will have little trouble in succeeding.

Belated congratulations to you. A handshake and a piece of paper? Maybe, but still an important milestone. Now you get to look back on it and maybe (as I did) say:
"Thank goodness that nonsense is done and over with! "

( I really hated highschool...)

Congratulations from a co-high-school-leaver!! (I, too, graduated last night :D)

"Though we are not now that strength
Which in old days moved heaven and earth
That which we are, we are
one equal temper of heroic hearts..."

Was part of my graduation speech ;)
World is ours!! :D
