ok of course given the title of this thread, you think of Lord of the Flies witch i just finished reading (and made me go and sit down before i could finish it). but also you have to look at two of my favorte books in the intire world.

Enders Game and Enders Shadow by Orson Scott Card they are incredable. the story of boys the ages 4 to 12 that are being trained as leaders in the third bugger wars (the buggers being aliens that have atacked the world twice before)

The first being the story of Ender and the second the tail of Bean who figures out more then ender ever could by being further away from the intire issue.

so this is telling people to read those book it is also a invitation for any one that has read them or Lord of the Files to talk about them. so tell me what you think....

I loved that book, it was the best my favorite chacter has to be bean. He is the best, and I am reading the other books after that and Petra and Bean get together! They even have a kid, and now Bean is working for Peter, who of course if trying to take over the world!

Oh, checked my e-mail this moring and found this story waiting there.

Subject: Teacher Arrested at JFK
>
>
>At New York's Kennedy airport today, an individual later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a setsquare, a slide rule, and a calculator.
>
>At a morning press conference, Attorney General Gonzales said he believes the man is a member of the notorious al-gebra movement. He is being charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.
>
>Al-gebra is a fearsome cult," Gonzales said. "They desire average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of absolute value. They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and refer to themselves as 'unknow ns', but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'there are 3 sides to every triangle'."
>
>When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, "If God had wanted us
>to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes"

Ah, tried to read Lord of the Flies, but I could not get it to his style of writing. It's okay I guess, although I never finished reading it. But I do really love how Orson Scott Card wrote Ender's Game, and Ender's Shadow. Those Two books are the best in the entire seris that I have read so far. There is also another series that is also very good, it is called Dune. I can't remember the author at the moment but I do know that it is a very good series, it made me think, and that is not an easy task.

I loved Lord of the Flies! Sadly, everyone seems to immediately dismiss it as a boys book, but personally, I thought it was wonderful.

We're studying it in English next year, and I'm really looking forward to it.

As for books about boys killing each other, there was one I read ages ago, but I can't remember the name. Something about being king of the castle. Maybe "I'm king of the castle"? I'm not sure, but it was something along those lines.

No, I have to dissagree, Ender, is the best. He is more empathic, so he figure out the enermies movement, by emulating then, distroying them with a counter plan. While Bean still has to scramble for infomation about the ememy, then study it, then come up with a counter attack. Meanwhile Ender has already come up with a plan. Man I would pay good money to see who would win a battle in the battle room. Ender or Bean?

Hey wingedspiral I figuired out your Avatar, it's from Fullmetal Alchemist. The first one is Ed/Chimera, than Al, Huges, Armstrong, Mustang (or Ed) , Lust, and then Envy.
