It was a foggy night
There was no light
It was the day full of sorrow
And she was hoping for a good tomorrow
She could hear the Prime Minister's speech
He was really trying best, his best to teach
Teach the nation courage, courage to fight in war
"We will rip the enemy apart like torn old clothes, we have power"
The gloomy day went and the other day approached
But it was not as the girl had hoped
It was the begining of war, the deadly start
Her worries grew more and more and did not halt
Her Momma, Papa were standing there, watching TV numbly
Her brother had started trembling
Trembling, not from fear but rage
She felt as she was in a cage
Everything was looking small to her
Her dreams of becoming teacher
Her dreams of traveling freely
In the whole world, wandering
All her dreams shattered
They no longer mattered
She had awoken
Though she felt broken
Peace-peace-peace, in her mind, Luther King Martin cried
There was no such word, she started to believe and thought that they all lied
Human beings looked like animals to her
Oh yes, they are animals and they always were
She could feel death around her.
Death was one of her greatest fear
It was coming, approaching little dear girl
Everything around her started to whirl
She heard the sound of explosion near her house
Her mother gripped her hand tightly and went into the celler
Then her mother called her spouse
He did not hear, the girl got out from the celler to find her father
But he was not there and then something happened....
Something happened which is very difficult to tell for a story-teller
She was blown off
In fact, many people were blown off
A lot of people had died
The world saw it all and cried
But the wars did not stop and more were blown off
Many little girls had been fed to fishes
They all had found their dreams broken and had lost their wishes
And WAR itself still exists
"I will never leave the world" it insists
Oh, I can't think of any name to give it. Your title names for it or comments about the poem will be very much appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
