I assume the ads that we see when we post here are generated based on some sort of keyword or combination of keywords on the page we happen to be on. Sometimes I think they are just too silly. Now who could have contributed the keywords for this? I nominate RobinHood3000.... ;)

You're likely right, but I want to know who was googling for sock garters? ;)

That is too funny!! :D

Usually they are term paper ads or religious stuff (or maybe that is where I spend the most of my time - in those forums??)

That is just too cute. They were so darn repetitive too. I wonder what they will come up with next after listening in to our insanities.

Most likely Robin. (who else would wear sock garters? would they go with a kilt?)
They are ridiculous occasionally. I keep seeing ones about passwords and free books. I can't think of what that good one I saw was for.

I just saw one for Pendragon - find whatever you are looking for.

I nominate Aimus.... :D (and yes, I am the guilty googler of garters. :p )
My dear, the better question is what don't sock garters go with?! Stylin!

Hehe, Papaya, Night and you were already popular, now Shakira is also in! :p

And who knew you could buy 'white fluffy clouds', apparently there is a huge selection of them on e-bay...actually, it's just a bunch of wallpaper, wall clings and some book Brandon Boyd wrote but still, it's an odd ad. What keyword brought that up?

At least some of them seem semi-relevant, like the one at the top of the page right now is for Google Book Search

I took this screenshot a bit ago for a thread at another forum I post at; this search page seems mostly on target EXCEPT....

*edit* heh, I just did a search for free fonts again, and the only odd ad I got this time was for some kind of battery.

Total randomness...
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h56/kathycf/litnetum.jpg

So there is a need for an online service to do this... and ... what does it have to do with the litnet photoalbum?

The more and more I look, after reading this thread, the more and more ads I see for Portland dating and poetry (even in threads where I do not mention Portland), and, perhaps due to my signature, ads about Thomas Hardy.

My ads are always boring. It almost always the same, about some children's book agency. I think the adsmaster knows I like to write stories to scare little children. :D

Usually I just see ads for book searches and termpapers. It is the offbeat random ones that catch my eye though. ;)
