I'm writing a dissertation on Judas in literature, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of books, plays, poems, etc in which he appears?

:)

he appears in Dante's Inferno... and probably numerous other books... but I can't remember them.

do i understand correclty that you are actually writing a dissertation on the topic you read nothing about?...
perhaps Judas Iscariot by Andrey Leonidov might help you...

although, i have no idea if there is a translation into English.

I'm a Religious Studies and English literature student, and I thought I'd combine the two by writing a dissertation on the appearance of Judas in literature, and what he signifies in these appearances, his meaning today, etc.

I've done a lot of reading, and I've found plenty of material - I was just hoping that people would be able to point out appearances to me that I may have missed or not found yet.

I've heard of the book you're referring to and am currently trying to get hold of it.

No problem. Thanks for the suggestion. The book appears to be little hard to get hold of, but hopefully I should be able to get a copy soon. :)
