Scene 1,Act 1
Mercator:It was nice working with you,my friend.I still wish that we worked together.
Hans Vezas:Excuse me!I was nothing more than a useless professor around here.
Mercator(smiling):Atleast you had a job of being "useless".My other friends do not even have this.
Hans Vezas(glaring with rage):I don't need this job any more.
Mercator sees Hans dashing off ,with tears in his eyes.
Mercator(sort of muttering to himself):No one wants to be beside me when they know that I am lurking between life and death.
