Okay I was just reading some post and I noticed a few about V.C. Andrews. Some were not really on the positive side. I've read her first series and Im just finishing the second series and I really like her books. The series that starts with Flowers in the Attic was incredible. I couldn't and wouldn't put it down even if I wanted to. Gave me a lot of insight on things I've never really thought of. I guess Im just wondering what you guys think of her books. Is it just me who enjoys the books??

So many of VC Andrews books were bestsellers, so I don't think you are the only one. I read Flowers in the Attic when I was about 11, and moderately enjoyed it, although the incest themes were really too creepy for me. I read one of her other books at that time (can't remember the name of it) and thought she would have benefitted from a proofreader and it annoyed me too much to finish it (I am a bit of a perfectionist). Andrews passed away about 20 years ago.

The important thing to remember is that you don't have to answer to anyone about what books you like, your taste in reading is your business. If you enjoy reading the books, then they serve a purpose. Happy reading! :)

I have read Flowers in the Attic and really liked it a lot though it made me sick because of incest but the plot was incredibly good. Then I tried Petals on the Wind (or was it Paddles on the wind?) but really didn't get into it and stopped reading it in the middle. Maybe someday, I will start Petals on the Wind again and my views might change...

Yeah I heard about it and it's such a shame she passed away. She's got a ghost writer now and I must admit that it hasn't changed V.C. Adnrews theme and style of writing at all. They're still a great book.

And Pensive? Yeah Petals in the Wind is an amazing book. If you read the whole series you'll begin to understand the books completely. You might understand them now, but most likely not in the way it's intended and thoughrly[sp?]laid out in the last book.
