Hello, my name is Gregory and my interests are hard to pinpoint, but they follow the lines of religion, spirituality, mysticism, magic. Some good examples of the kind of reading I like are Ralph Waldo Emerson; P. D. Ouspensky & Gurdjieff; Carlos Castaneda, I own many books about the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Gnostic texts and gospels, which I strongly identify with; Plato's dialogues; W. B. Yeats and especially other writers, philosophers and mystics of his era, and the Golden Dawn; William Blake as the quintessential gnostic-poet who validated the importance of the imagination; I enjoy Shakespeare as the model of English, difficult but every bit worth the effort; some Greek mythology to remind me that everything we do now has its antecedent in the pre-conscious.

I love to write, especially in the essay form, but also allegorical short stories. Professionally, I write for a small country weekly newspaper. It doesn't pay a lot, but I get to write a lot, and that's what matters most to me. I'd rather be a poor somebody than a rich nobody.
