For the fair Maiden Monica the birthday celebration comes,
See each young wag standing ready to sweep her off her feet!
May I have this dance, Monica, the clamor and shout—
No, no! Me! Please pick me! She has so many standing in line:
First her eyes favor this one, no that one—how about—
Then she chooses the one with those compelling gray eyes.
The music surrounds them as they waltz out onto the town square,
And she laughs with delight as her partner whirls her about.
Spinning back in to his arms she lifts her hand and encounters something strange:
This man has not a face—it seems to be a scaly snout?
Yeah, dance her birthday away, guys; toast Monica with peppermint swirls:
But when it comes to good dancing, Dragons always get the girls...

Weeping Willow: I am so happy, I have managed to go to a U2 concert :banana: It was beyond adjectives and I want to go again!!! :nod: but they don't want to come here again :bawling: I'm going to have to track them down somewhere in Dublin :brow:

Pendragon: thank you for the sonnet. It was sweet of you :) One of my favourite bands - Toto - have a record entitled "Hydra" and it contains one of my favourite songs - "St. George and the Dragon" :D

mono: I am here pretty often, as a matter of fact (an addiction ;) ), only I can't force myself to write anything. Somehow it seems to me like everything - reality, life - is bigger than me and sometimes I find it difficult to cope with it all. No enthusiasm, inspiration. But I believe I'll get out of it. Till then, a :wave: to all of you out there, those who I know and those who I hope I'll be lucky to get to know soon.
