Or you could try doing your work and reading them.

I'm just saying.

I remember the days when English classes required kids to actually read the books. Was it really that long ago?

I'm not familiar with Bowling's book, but I've heard Mitch Albom's book is a very quick read. Just plan out a couple hours and do some reading, soniq, you might enjoy it.

You must've predicted this type of response form people at a literature network. People who READ and want you to READ.

Do your self a favor and take some time to read these books, It might spark an interest, you never know you might like it. Please atleast try to read them it could be one of the best decisions youll ever make.

I regret never having done any of the reading in the past two years of school, I missed out a lot of good stuff. The Odyssey, Everything Is Illuminated, The Great Gatsby, Hamlet, Death of a Salesman, Huck Finn, The Bluest Eye... I somehow managed to fake my way through it (and get A's), but now that I've really grown to love literature I realize that I was just depriving myself and that these are all great works, and so I'm catching them up now.

Do yourself a favor and read. Reading enriches the mind.

Thats a good attitude: "never mind I'll just fail"

If our founding fathers had said that when they were fighting for independence we'd probably still be under European Powers. Somewhat like a certain country to the north that starts with a C. :)

I don't think anyone's even read them. If a book you're given in school doesn't even have a sparknotes, you're better off reading them if you know what's good for you. You can fake your way a little bit with Sparknotes as long as the teacher doesn't probe too deeply into your knowledge (I know I have), but when you don't even have that to rely on there's nothing else for it but to do the work.

You were expecting them? Then why ask?

Fail the course? We don't mind helping you if you invest a bit of effort yourself. It's just that we would be doing you no favour at all by providing you with answers, and possibly a grade that you have not worked to achieve. Have you ever heard about TANSTAAFL? There Aint No Such Thing As A Free Lunch...

No time? What a pity, but you seem to have the time to read this thread?
