So, imagine you have a computer file that has all your life in it and that you have the ultimate power over its content. You, by the consignation of spectacular manipulations of technology, are- for a brief time, I would imagine- able to rewrite, edit, addend, and shuffle the contents of the life you now are living. What would you do? What parts would you accord the most, and how would you reconcile the happenings of your past to the present you now live in?
You, yourself, and a file. Can you imagine? Can you even begin to fathom how Utopian and how perfect your world may become? Can you imagine what arranging the episodes of your life may do to you, or better yet, what it may do to those who actually were part of your life story that you now are revamping.

I'd leave the past well enough alone, it'll cause too much of a headache if I were to alter it, think of all the paradoxes and time loops it will create. It'll be my own deadwarrent if I touch it. I might write a few things about the future though, just to get going. :)
It's a nice question, but I don't really see how it relates to general literature, seem more of a philosphical question to me.
I just hope the computer I run the file on doesn't crash when I'm editing and corrupts the file.

Don't worry about it, I'm sure nobody will blow up a puppy because you placed this in general literature. Although Jay might. Let's hope she doesn't see this thread. :)

Welcome to the forum! I tried sending you a PM, but you're not allowed yet it seems. :)
You can see when someone replies to a post you made in many ways, but the easiest is to click the new posts button on the top bar, shows all the post made since you last checked, for a period of time.
As for Jay, well she is a moderator here, one that's just a tad bit powerhungry, and likes to eat puppies, that's all, nothing for you to worry about. ;) (don't take that to seriously :))

Thank you for the ample clarification. I love this site.. And hope we will chat one day.. when I am privileged, I guess.. By the way, I love your quote. It has a lot of profundity.

I like puppies (who doesn't?) but not for desserts. And no, I haven't seen this thread ;)
