Made this up the night before last, went to a concert and had this poem in my head afterwards as I tried to get to sleep. Just typed it out and saved, seems to have turned out ok. Mostly a recap of the night..

Serenity
Enjoyment, a feeling rarely had.
The world found itself, darkened yet cold,
comfortable to sit in, before my smile grew.
Incessant chatter and the conversations of life,
we grow to know another, for this is our sight.

Never knowing, never seeing,
outside of this realm, the world here lets us be,
without care of the consequences we see.

Held up by the trunks of chords,
blowing in the wind before I roar.
Losing my anger, depression and anxiety,
all in a swarm of rhythmic movements,
that which is energy, and never really me.

Echoes beckon through my numbed skull,
emptied from pain of my lost loves.
Forgotten, the real is, for here it is false,
all that is art and mind, prospers without exhaust.

Heavy breathe and dark shadows fall,
stepping away from paradise, and uncaring of life's call.
A day remembered, through my forever december,
the only sounds to come from a somber november.
Lost in time, uncaring of the signs,
for in that moment, my life is divine.

This flowed so well, a great summation. Glad you found these speciall moments amidst chaos, and reminded me too of the times when I feel this way too. It's really hard sometimes.

What concert?

"A day remembered, through my forever december,
the only sounds to come from a somber november.
Lost in time, uncaring of the signs,
for in that moment, my life is divine. "

Glad ya liked it.

The concert was mainly a Metalcore show. "Between the Buried and Me" was who I was seeing. Pretty good show, met some friends there, $8 to get in and a $10 cd. Good deal, good night.
