Vandalism is Pointless Graffiti
11.6.2

Anarchy tagged on walls
By frustrated teenagers looking
For something to rebel against.
They don't see the true
Problems that face this country
And our pitiful lives.

These same teens try to tag
Pointless phrases elsewhere,
Leaving notes that incite
Disgust.

There may be no reason to respect
This place, but pointless
Vandalism has no good reason, and
No reaction from anyone but the
Administration, angered by these tags
That say nothing but ANARCHY.

Anarchy? But why?
Do they know what they're saying even?
Or what the repercussions would be?
Do they know who or
What they're trying to rebel against?
Their friends are their clan
And administration the monster.
But none of this ***t
Can come close to preparing
Them for what is in store
After high school.

Life’s a ****h that loves
To bite your **s. Live with it.
Anarchy can't work
Without a leader...
And that'll only lead to another
Form of government
That more will try to rebel against.
They’ll find a new leader
That’ll lead to a new
Form of government
That more will try to rebel against…

And so on and so forth.

You will probably realize this, eventually
And notice, hopefully, the pitfalls
Of your ways
And figure out how to massage the system
In time.

i guess that could be it.
but it's futile, in my opinion.

Make it not futile. Go and do something exciting/interesting. Hang on - do you mean graffitti or middle class life is futile?

I like this poem. It makes a good point  i'm in high school myself and i look around at some of the kids who do nothing and rebel against the teachers and can't help visualising them as they will be in a couple of years... completly lost in the world because all of a sudden rebeliation is alot harder than just not doing what the teacher tells you to. I can see alot of future wrecks!
