I had not assumed that a quote cannot serve the purpose of a disscussion, it could at least provoke agreement or disagreement/this is natural I think/...hence...a premise for debate...questions are unilateral in the common case...when asking a question no-one really does so from pure interest or with impartiality/just the other way to introduce your own "ideas"-something like a prelude...
