Hi, I'm writing a paper about symbolism, imagery and metaphor in Italo Calvino's short fiction. Can anyone suggest a research book(s) that might be helpful?

What are you reading? Cosmicomics, t-zero, Under the Jaguar Sun? Something else maybe?

I've read everything he's written that has been translated into English. I'm interested in finding a book ABOUT him though. Or about symbolism in short fiction in general...
