Hello,
I'm new to this forum. I live in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where, this morning, it's misting rain. After a long dry spell, the trees and grass are an incredible green, the birds are joyful, and even our cats are taking rain baths.

What to say about myself? I spend a large block of time toting rescued animals to the vet. Word seems to be out in the animal world that we welcome strays. These animals appear often in my writing, and Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul published one recently. In fact, animal themes permeate my writing.

I grew up honoring and befriending animals. Maybe that compulsion comes from the Cherokee philosophy, since my mother and father were part Cherokee.

I hope to share similar interests and news with other members of this forum.

Hello, I just now completed my membership and was looking through the first page of the introductory thread and saw your post. I am moving my family into the Bixby/Tulsa area within a couple of months and am interested in your area of Oklahoma. My wife has often spoken of the Tahlequah area and has always remarked on its beauty.
