what an absolute shock to come on tonight and see this. How kind of all of you.
I think they are all great. I must tell you though from the depths of my heart, that anything that even suggests the Madonna I regretfully cannot accept, for the simple reason that I hold Mary to be the highest a mother can be and I honestly from the depths of my heart am not even as high as her ankle. So that would grieve me.Anything with children though, or well anything you like. I feel so unworthy to have an avy, that is one of the reasons I never have. Because, I really don't know who Rachel is in some ways. I just live to serve, not because I am good whatsoever, but because the need is there and I feel compelled. The same for dance and writing and all the other things I do.

Actually it wasn't a gladiator but a conquoring general who recieved a triumph, a parade through Rome on a chariot with all sorts of vanquished captives and pomp and ceremony, and yes the slave or assistant (whatever he may have been) was supposerd to whisper in his ear at the height of festivities, "Remember, you are just a mortal."
