need help identifying a story

i remember a part of a story, but i don't remember the title or who the characters involved were. i think it may be from greek mythology, but i'm not exactly sure. basically, it involves this wife who knits a sweater for her husband, who's a general in the army or something. when he puts it on, the sweater bursts into flames. that's all i remember. i was wondering if someone could tell me the names of the characters involved. thanks.
