I pretended to be happy,

I pretended to be clof, aloof -

I pretended to be happy,
Just to be by your side.
I pretended to be content
I lied, I lied.

For all I ever wanted,
Was for me yours, it's true.
But you wanted another. So,
I pretend for you.

I pretended to be happy,
Full of joy and glee.
I didn't let you see.
The misery in me.

I still pretend to this day,
To be content as your friend.
I'll lose you if I stop pretending,
So this charade shall never end.

(A/N): I pretend for my crush that I just want him to be happy.. He likes another woman.. That woman is also my friend so I just pretend... I can't bear to lose him but he has told me that he knows of my pretending.. and he loves me too, but not as a lover but forever the friend... So I just pretend...

Thats a pretty good poem, really got the point across, It was short, Meaningful....all around a great poem. 10/10

thank you very much.. although I don't approve of lieing.. that being one of my rules.. I can't help but lie for him... just to be with him.. He means well.. I know he does.. and we do love each other as "friends".. Man.. that sucks...
